With
a total 15points and 6 goals, the Sule Momodu led side (Utsogun) who happen to
be the 1st Son of Uchi, has symbolically portrayed and displayed their seniority
in not just leadership in the scheme of things but have through sports
reiterated its position as the head of Auchi Sacred Kingdom. They recorded no
goals scored against them and the enviable position of an unbeatable team in
the history of football in Afenmai land.
Tribunal
who emerged Man of the Match scored the winning goal for Utsogun making it his
second goal of the tournament. He reminded jeyKAD
of an earlier promise to lift the trophy at the end of the tournament.
“I told you before that we were going to
emerge the winners, you can see now that it has become a statement of fact. I want
to appreciate our fans and supporters for this great feat. I am using this
medium to appeal that they should continue with their great work. I appreciate
them and I also appreciate you jeyKAD for the coverage and publicity you’ve
given to the league. God bless you” he said.
Coach
Sule (Someone) who could not contain his joy told jeyKAD that he was always optimistic about turning out the best
team of the tournament because he believed in the ability of his boys to
deliver.
“I am very very happy as you can see because I
feel fulfilled with victory. If I tell you that I’m not happy I’ll be telling
you a big lie. I expected it and I got it. Our fans have been superb and I indulge
them to keep supporting good football” he said.

A
full blown confrontation later broke out outside the Ikelebe Sports Arena where
youths of both Akpekpe and Utsogun engaged in wielding arms in form of stones
and bottles against each other. The Nigerian Police however were on ground to
manage the situation by firing shots that drove all warring factions home.
