WE ARE WHAT'S KILLING US

In all my years of living, I've come to realize that no one hates Nigeria like Nigerians.

None!

We pray, fast and pray again.
A religious lot but then,
We insult those in power to the extent of promoting acts of terror (consciously and subconsciously) over the efforts of the government wether federal, state or in local governance.

I'm yet to see the kind of publicity given to Boko Haram, bandits, rogue herdsmen, ISWA in the efforts of our Armed forces.

We are quick to proliferate clips shot by Boko Haram terrorists with the speed of light in the guise of criticisms than we have ever shown to the world how our officers are fairing in the battle with the insurgents. If ever we do, we expertly expose the flaws of the army and tell the world that they lack xyz.

When dailies carry stuffs like "250 Bandits Killed at location ABC", Nigerians will say, "sheybi Dem gather for one place dey fry beans ni?"
When there happen to be a clash between our gallant soldiers and BH, Nigerians will begin to tell the world that over a dozen soldiers were killed and not the other way round.

Is that how those in saner climes were able to reach Uhuru?

A video is currently trending and Nigerians are burning their data with glee to give same a wider reach.
Meanwhile, there in the video, names of people BH wants to attack have been mentioned.
But because the country don 'this and that' finish for your shallow mind, e no concern you to reason am say na people like you BH say Dem wan kill.
And so, you begin to click the forward and or share buttons so that more yawa fit gas.

Las Las we go go Mosque five times everyday or shout holy ghost upandan based who we be.
Some of us go wash verses of the Qur'an drink while others go baff inside olive oil sake of say we dey find anointing...

Yet you dey fight against your country!
Na you throw stone take hit your own head. Na only you go cry from the pain.

I have told my truth.
No one hates Nigeria the way we as Nigerians do.
We are our poison.
