The people and residents of Auchi shall henceforth support no political party or interest until and unless such interest or political party has Auchi and her people in focus.

This was the message of members of the Auchi Development Foundation ADF on Wednesday when the body of progressive Sons and Daughters of Auchi went round the cosmopolitan town in a roadshow.

ADF in her message recounted how marginalized and relegated Auchi and her political actors have been despite her status as the Political Headquarters of the Afenmai people in general and Etsako West in particular since 1999.

23years of democratic rule has seen Auchi deprived obviously from leadership positions at the state and national levels of governance and in view of altering this abnormality where the supposed majority in the Afenmai axis of Edo State has perpetually remained an onlooker in the political space, Auchi Development Foundation, a non-partisan, non-governmental and non-profit organization is deploying all her arsenal at ensuring that the people of Auchi are politically woke and actively represented in the oncoming Edo State House of Assembly Elections cum the anticipated 2023 General Elections where some Sons and Daughters of the Largest Community in Edo North are currently vying for Representative seats.

"Auchi has the size in numbers and our coming out today, the reason why I'm involved in this roadshow is to mobilize our people and awaken them to the realization that it's time to get involved. Once this is achieved, the resultant effect of this project is that the positive action taken by Indigenes and residents of Auchi will translate into reinforcing the fact that Auchi truly has the size in numbers and we all know that politics is a game of numbers.

Again, we are also using this medium to encourage the Auchi people to join various political parties, grow therein and hold various positions as members of working committees in these various parties at the state and national levels where decisions are taken.

More so, this movement is geared towards ensuring that Auchi political aspirants across all platforms have unity of purpose when the issue of multiplicity of candidates vying for one political office arises." _Dr. Mustafa Muhammed Lecky says.

On his part, Prince Nasiru Ikharo,  Pioneer President of ADF posited that no one can treat Auchi and her people better than an Auchi Son/Daughter. He said that irrespective of political affiliations, Auchi should now be interested in supporting only the party(ies) that offer politicians of Auchi extraction their cards to fly as flag bearers in various political positions going forward.

Recounting how since 1999 no politician from Auchi has become a Senator or Representative (at the federal level), Deputy Governor or Governor (at the state level), Nasiru stated emphatically that it is the turn of Auchi to represent the people of Etsako Federal Constituency in Edo North and called on the people in the area to support Auchi's candidates just as Auchi has supported those from other regions in the past.

Members of Auchi Development Foundation assembled at the organization's secretariat before Jattu Junction, proceeded from there through the major routes in the cosmopolitan town and drew the curtain on the roadshow at the Arafat Masjid where the body prayed for the success of her projects and called on the people and residents of Auchi to take advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration CVR exercise to register and get their voter cards in preparation for the oncoming voting exercises that will mark the end of the electioneering season.

Saliu Ahmed _MD Benin Owena River Basin Development Authority, Chief Mrs. Mariam Ezolomhe Kadiri, Chief Dauda Momodu Giwah _Osimua of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, Dr. Mrs Rehi Jimoh, Engr. Bello Abdulmalik, Muhammed Bawa _Rep. Hopeful, Chief Dada Abubakar _EDHA Hopeful, Members of the Auchi Dynamic Youths Association ADYA, Members of the Auchi Interest Group AIG, and more.

With this movement, the Auchi Development Foundation ADF has fully flagged off its numerous activities geared towards situating Auchi at the height she belongs in the scheme of things and has successfully raised the awareness of the organization's existence in the minds and hearts of all who are affiliated to Auchi at home and beyond the shores of Africa.
