Auchi Day Annual Celebration of Allah the Most High has recorded geometric success with the commissioning of Arafat (the largest Islamic Monument in Southern Nigeria) and the procession round Auchi Sacred Kingdom by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III together with the good people of Auchi.
The event which was held on Saturday the 8th of January 2022 at the Palace premises kicked off with a procession round the cosmopolitan town _where and when the name of Allah the Most High, Creator of all (seen and unseen) was exalted by the noble monarch and his people.
His Highness while leading the followers in the journey offered prayers for the continuous growth of Auchi in peace and tranquility.
The procession which took off from the Royal Palace, descended down through Otaru road up Iyekhei-Polytechnic road into Auchi Polytechnic and continued from the Benin-Okene Expressway to Jattu junction down Jattu road through the BEDC-Police Divisional Headquarters to the newly commissioned Arafat Mosque where the procession observed a 2rakat salaat (sunrise prayer) before dispersing to their various homes to prepare for the days stream of events slated out to be held at the Palace.
The noble monarch seized the opportunity to admonish his followers and the entire people of Auchi _stating that the Mosque is the light of the Kingdom and described the monumental project as a symbolic structure who's five domes represented the five pillars of Islam, five daily mandatory prayers and many other 5s in the religion of Islam.
His Highness, appealed that the people of Auchi takes good care of the Mosque going forward and take pride in maintaining and putting it to good use while praying that Almighty Allah grants all who contributed to its success the rewards and blessings inherent in such projects.
The king addressed the issue of maintaining ties with kin and advised all to not make enemies nor bear grudge as such acts are not Islamic nor do they pose one as a good Muslim.
'you may never know who will stand in for you in times of need ...so be careful not to begrudge people or keep enmity." he said.
At the peak of the Auchi Day Celebration, High Chief, Prince Suleiman Momoh, Takobi and Imam II of Auchi who doubles as NAHCON Federal Commissioner delivered the guest lecture which centered around the maintenance of Mosques.
The event featured the recitation of a portion of the Qur'an by Prince Mumin, the Otaru's 9year old son who has successfully memorized the Holy Book.

Other activities of the day include the rendition of Islamic songs by Chief Fatai, the Ölhèseysey of Auchi, dramatic display by the Local Hunter's Isiko dancers, presenting of sewing machines to young indigent tailors, handing over a utility vehicle donated by Prince Dr. Sadiq Ikharo to the Hunters and the display of a prototype of the Arafat Masjid as built by one Ahmed Etsenumhe (a 15year old chap resident in Akpekpe) after which His Highness together with chiefs handsomely encouraged the young innovator.
Charitable activities as carried out by the Auchi Community Charitable Fund Initiative as chaired by His Highness were also recounted and relayed to all who attended and potential donors were wooed to give to the needy through the foundation which has in no small measured touched lives by contributing #1million to the treatment and discharge of a neurological patient from UBTH, the donation of Hospital Equipment to Edo State Central Hospital in Auchi, doling out of food items to over 250 needy people in two batches and more.

The Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom praised Almighty Allah for the peace and tranquility being enjoyed by the people of Auchi and those of her environs. He appreciated the presence of all who graced the occasion and admonished to always stand by the Truth which is the father of Justice and Fairness.
In attendance were all the village heads of the villages in Auchi, Government representatives at the Federal and State levels, captains of industries, Directors of MDAs, Religious and Traditional leaders, academicians, social-cultural groups and representatives of tribes from all over Nigeria resident in Auchi Sacred Kingdom.
