Otaru Receives Over 200 Million Naira Worth of Medical Items from Auchi Daughters in the US

No Fewer than 200 million Naira worth of medical items have been delivered to His Royal Highness, Alh. Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom on Saturday at the Royal Palace.

His Highness received a 20feet container containing not less than 50 hospital beds amongst other items sent from Auchi’s Daughters in the United States of America to the Kingdom of Auchi in a bid to help improve healthcare service for the people back at home.

In view of this uncommon gesture, His Highness is donating same to the Central Hospital to help lift the face of the health facility and improve healthcare delivery to the people of Auchi in particular and Edo state in general.

 The Noble Monarch having inspected the items and certify that they were of world acceptable international standard, thanked the donors, showered them with royal prayers and encouraged them together with every other well meaning son and daughter in the Diaspora to drive home that which will be of benefit to the people.

 On  the occasion of last Sunday’s Otaru in Council (OiC) meeting, His Highness told all how Hauwa (Hauwa Nee Momoh) the daughter of Hajia Kekinetu sponsored the process having promised to send the items home some months back and thanked God for the successful delivery of the items despite the huddles that have laid in the way.

 He appreciated the input of Chief Dauda Giwa a.k,a Levi for weighing in to ensure that some of the stumbling blocks that hampered the process were lifted for the good of his people.

Dr. Imoisili, Medical Director of the Central Hospital Auchi thanked the Otaru for his magnanimity and decision to donate the items given to the Kingdom to her facility and appreciated the fact that the facility will be getting a huge boost as a result of the items provided under her reign as MD.

She stated that His Royal Highness has in no small measure contributed in helping to make her job easier by helping to facilitate the establishment of a Dialysis Center, putting incubators to good use and reported that with the advent of Edo State University Uzairue, Consultants are now on ground to attend to the medical needs of the people through the liaison between the Central Hospital and EDSU that has engendered the use of the Facility as a Teaching Hospital for Students of Medicine and their Facilitators.

 The items aside 50 hospital beds are 7 Vital Signs Machines, 20 Bedside Commodes , 11 Wheelchairs, 150 Tissue Dispensers, 13 Walking Canes, Walkers and Crutches, 30 Boxes of 40 Face Shields each, 6 Boxes of syringes, A&D, 12 BP Monitors, 20 BP Cuffs for Adults, Children and Infants andTongue Blades.

 Other items include Laptops, 13 Microscopes, 100 Hospital Blankets, 4 Shower Chairs, 120 IV Poles, Hospital Patients Bags, Patient Combs, Toothbrushes, Toothpastes, Shaving Creams and more.
