The Egba Divisional Headquarters of Eso state Police Command have through local intel from members of the public freed six kidnapped victims along the Auchi-Benin Expressway.
This was made known by the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Kontongs Bello on Thursday.
The Toyota Sienna bus belonging to a private transport company was transporting it's passengers from Ekpoma to Benin when when suspected Kidnappers intercepted and abducted them at Igue-Ozevbaru.
Led by the DPO of Egba Division, SP John Emmanuel, patrol teams involving the Police, Military and local Vigilante Groups went into the forest where the victims were taken and combed the bush in search.

This led to a gun fight between security operatives and the hoodlums at Obadan forest but the suspected Kidnappers were forced to abandon the kidnapped victims and flee into the forest leaving two of their members who were injured in the gunfight behind together with the abductees.
Those arrested are one AbdulKarim Kazeem and Odoh Chukchekua who are both 40years of age. (Shown in the Cover Photo)
Assuring the people of Edo state about the Police resolve to rid the state off all criminal elements, the Police Commissioner of Edo State, CP Philip Aliyu Ogbadu urged members of the public to go about their lawful duties and warned perpetrators of crime to refrain from such acts or be met by the long arm of the law.
