Auchi Polytechnic Radio to Come Back On-Air Soonest _Station Manager

By: Jeremiah Enaholo Kadiri

Authorities of Hill Side 94.1 frequency modulation band have stated that the station will hit airwaves before the end of next week.

Mr. Kelly Odaro the Station Manager made this known to jeyKAD on Friday when he said that management under the leadership of TPL Dr. S.M. Jimah has put all measures in place to ensure that the radio goes live again.

I’m positive the radio will come back on before next weekend. You can see that the Rector has been on ground. He was there after the storm brought down our mast and met with us all in view of repairing damaged materials. Today the mast is almost done and I am positive that we shall resume broadcast any time soon.”

A visit to the site suggested that all is almost set for the take-off of live broadcast. Engineers have been working assiduously all through the week as if on a deadline to pull the work through.

Sir Lucky Markus, a programme producer and host of Itsemhakhorna (the most followed radio show in Edo North) has expressed elation over the development. He stated that management is through its prompt response assuring the audience of Hill Side FM that the channel of Information Communication, Entertainment and Enlightenment will come back better.

It is obvious that this management is not going to keep our listeners hanging. I’ve gotten a lot of calls from many of our listeners and they are glad that the mast is being repaired as we shall soon hit the electromagnetic spectrum with programmes for the their listening pleasure kudos to the Aigbebako of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, the Rector.

Auchi Polytechnic Radio Mast fell to the storm of March 4th that saw roofs off many buildings in the cosmopolitan town of Auchi Sacred Kingdom. It was the second rain of the year 2020 after much prayers and anticipation by farmers who had waited patiently for the signaling of a new planting season occasioned by rainfall.

However, instead of running to their farms to start cultivating, they were awed by the overwhelming destruction of parts of their buildings by the ice-laced droplets of precipitation.

Ikelebe Sports Arena AKA Public Field had its fair share together with former Habib Platinum Bank and other buildings along the Otaru/Poly road axis.
It should be noted that with the arrival of the year 2020 rains, some notorious residents in the area have resumed dumping of refuse in drainages all over Auchi. This in no small measure has adverse effects on the ecology of our town and we are using this medium to call on relevant authorities in the Etsako West Local Government Council’s Environmental (waste management) and Health Departments to take a tour on the drainages in and around Auchi with a view to putting measures in place to know who the criminals are and how to deter them from further engaging in acts that encourage flooding.
Auchi, Itsemha lhe.
