Intra-party factions have resorted to celebrating 'whatever' in multitudes not minding the rules pertaining to social distancing and the use of none medical Facemasks cum other PPEs.
Inter-party interactions are now done without regards for a pandemic that 'our leaders (who happen to be in the know) told us is ravaging the economy in all it's ramifications.
As usual, confirmed cases are rising or so they want us to believe.
As usual, more people are dying from the viral infection. That's what they
publish.
In all, is it not clear that the justle for power does not put the interest
of the people first?
In all, is it not clear that the health/lives of our people may not really
matter like they claimed aforetime before the power-driven squabble began?
In all, is it not clear that, na weytin dem want dem want no matter who die?
Reports have also trickled in that a jubilation over the suspension of the APC National Chairman, AAO resulted in a shootout that brought to an abrupt end, the life of a fellow jubilator and this has snowballed into a cult clash since the shooter and the shot belong to opposing fraternal brotherhoods.
A party battered by the loss of a sitting Governor and it's National
Chairman.
A party troubled by anti-party party members whose loyalty lies not with the
party.
A party that we thought would take Edo and of course Nigeria to the next level
is the one enmeshed in this show of shame over what could have been amicably
settled if only AAO and GGO knew they'd both be leaving the party in such
unlikely circumstances.
AUCHI BLOGspot is however appealing to the youths and women who as usual will be trapped in this fracas as dispensable disposables in the course of the electioneering process (when different battles in the stream of an unending war of interest surges) to please be wise and know now that it is better we begin to demand for gainful employment and engagements, upgraded healthcare services and health facilities, rejuvenated education sector, good road networks, feasibly secure and cheap transportation architecture, a reformed security system where the police, army, vigilante or neighborhood watch can keep us safe, massive investment in agriculture that will engender food sufficiency, etcetera.
The list of things needed on the Edo Project Agenda cannot be exhausted and we must demand for all these for we can never have enough! Uplifting Edo to become the home of our dreams is not unattainable! It is possible and we must see to it collectively not minding where who will take us there is going to come from or what his political affiliation would be.
However, if we continue to allow these Power-Hungry-Desperados continue to give us what they think we want instead of us to set the road map for them to follow, we are in for a long show of shame.
I'll drop my pen here and wait for the war-mongers to hit my inbox here, on WhatsApp and voice calls with the 'stop dabbling into politics' singsong, 'your blog will not progress beyond now if you continue to meddle in the political affairs of the state's' bruhaha, 'I'm going to unfollow you' radarada, and the oga kpatakpata of them all, 'better go and delete that post!'
This is not to brag, AUCHI BLOGspot is a VOICE that cannot be silenced!
We have a mandate to criticize whoever is in power with a view of making same do better. If you feel bad about what's written against you and feel the need to challenge same, the doors are open.
Don't forget the question posed in the beginning, "Do We Matter in this Matter? Does Our Matter Matter in Their Matter? Or is Their Matter All that Matters?"
Afenmai vha mho kpo!
Ugwéré khi'tsèmhè, arègbé khi'itsè!
Drops pen.
