AUCHI POLYTECHNIC: Distressed Students Lament Poor Power Supply, Call on Rector, BEDC as Exams Looms

This is a subtle appeal from a student of Federal Polytechnic Auchi who reached out to us this morning asking that the BEDC Power Authorities in Auchi Sacred Kingdom should come to the aid of all students in Campus 2 (and such other areas) who are experiencing very low quality current (whenever there's electricity supply).

Bearing on this call and in view of the forthcoming 1st Semester Examinations billed to start on Monday, The Community's Eye is respectfully calling on the AUCHI POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS UNION Government (SUG) to reach out to our Students Friendly Rector, Dr. S.S. Umar, Auchi Polytechnic Rector to quickly see what can be done to prevail on the personnel of the Benin Electricity Distribution Company to repair whatever fault there is --so that Auchi Polytechnic students and residents around the affected areas (with poor light problems) can get succour.

The Students need good illumination/visibility to read and prepare for the exams and it is only normal/logical to demand for good and ample power supply to their residents so that they can do well in their academics.

To give more weight to this appeal, we are also calling on the good hearted people and leaders in the host communities where students are residing to ensure that these students get the best treatment our people can offer.

Don't forget that for some people, these students provide sources of livelihood in the form of their patronage of businesses and rentages of houses in same communities.

Failure to help them get value for their monies would mean less patronage and less patronage would bring adverse economic effects upon our communities.
