Lt. General Faruk Yahaya, the Chief of Army Staff of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi on Tuesday.
The General commended the Otaru of Auchi for making the job of the Army and other security sister agencies in Edo North easy through collaborative efforts which he described as the Monarch's fatherly role in ensuring that everyone including soldiers and others security personnels are given ample support in their operations.
Stating that security of lives is a collective effort between those saddled with the responsibility to protect and those being protected, Faruk Yahaya appreciated His Highness for regularly checking on the Personnel at the School of EME in Auchi and described the exercise as a moral boost for the officers.
He thanked the Otaru of Auchi for his open door policy and described his reception as overwhelmingly lovely and affable.
Responding to the Chief of Army Staff, His Highness, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh while welcoming the General and his entourage stated that Auchi is a home of hospitality not just for the Indigenes but for everyone that draws breath within her territories for as long as they stay within.
He Acknowledged the efforts of the Chief so far and seized the opportunity to prevail on the him to intensify efforts at ensuring that the fight against insecurity is facilitated in view of gaining victory for the nation against the injustices being perpetuated by insurgents, herdsmen and other criminal elements.
The Monarch prayed for the safe return of Lt. General Faruk Yahaya and his entourage back to base and shared some literature of Auchi with the visitors.
