NANS Rate Auchi Polytechnic's Ag. Rector as Best Tertiary Institution Administrator in Edo State

The National Association of Nigerian Students has called on the Federal Government through the Ministry of Education to facilitate the confirmation of Engr. Mustafa Adeboye Zubair as the Substantive Rector of Auchi Polytechnic on Tuesday.

Comrade Odiahi Thomas Ikhine the Vice President (Special Duties) of NANS made the call while addressing Journalists during the Inauguration of the Edo State Joint Campus Committee (JCC) at the Auchi Polytechnic's Main Auditorium in the Area One phase of the institution.

Being the apex body of students unionism across all Institutions of the federation, NANS stated that it had observed interestingly how the Ag. Rector has coordinated the affairs of Auchi Polytechnic devoid of fracas which before his appointment as Ag. Rector were a regular feature.

NANS stressed that Engr. Zubair has in no small measure brought back peace in mutual coexistence amongst all members of the Polytechnic and this feat has earned the Institution its enviable height as best Polytechnic in the just concluded Webometric Ratings. For this, NANS is of the view that no hand can pilot the affairs of the citadel of learning better than the Ag. Rector who has given not less than 22 years of his life to serve as a capacity builder in Auchi Polytechnic.

In his statement while extolling the virtues of Engr. Zubair, Comr. Odiahi affirmed that students under the Administration of the Ag. Rector enjoy their academic sojourn on campus and thus has the support of every student of the institution and beyond.

"The Acting Rector of Auchi Polytechnic has demonstrated in the highest capacity his ability to lead, spearhead and manage both Capital and Human Resources considering the huge changes that has visibly taken place within the Polytechnic and it's host community ever since his appointment as the acting rector of the Polytechnic ...Since the emergence of Engr. Mustafa Adeboye Zubair as the acting rector of Auchi Polytechnic, the students Community has enjoyed a well structured and robust academic adventure. This is with the presence of peace and harmony among students, staff and by extension members of the host community whose testimonies are visible and knows no bound.

Today, within the Edo state axis, we can boldly say that he is, thus far the most proven tertiary institution administrator ...and we are calling on all concerned, mostly the honorable Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu to in the interest of goodwill and deeds done to Nigeria Students confirm the appointment of Engr. Mustafa Adeboye Zubair as the Rector of the Polytechnic."

Comr. Meisabi M. Tasiu, Chairman of the Comrades Community who doubles as Convention Planning Chairman (CPC) stated that the Ag. Rector is the man whom the cap fits and as such, the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu should in consideration of the fact that Auchi Polytechnic is currently thriving under Engr. Zubair's Administration in acting Capacity facilitate his substantial confirmation.

The CPC while calling on FG to do the needful, said that anything contrary to the appeal made by the National Association of Nigerian Students, the largest assembly of Nigerians, will be outright disservice to the students Community, the staff of the noble citadel of learning and the people of the host Communities who are massively rooting for the Ag. Rector because he has brought sanity and peace to the Polytechnic.

On his part, Comr. Damisa Abdulmalik, the Auchi Polytechnic's Student Union Government President in a remark corroborated claims made by NANS the Vice President and thanked the Ag. Rector for creating a level playing ground for all members (staff and students) of the Polytechnic Community to thrive.

He described the Ag. Rector as a father of all who has opened his doors in view of welcoming and accommodating all and prayed that the Engineer is confirmed the rector of Auchi Polytechnic in Substantive capacity given the overwhelming support he enjoys as a result of being a godly man.

The JCC Edo axis Inauguration produced Comrade Emmanuel Moses of Auchi Polytechnic as Chairman while Comrade Uwaougho Degberu ThankGod of the University of Benin emerged as Deputy.
