Otaru Names Manhood Celebrants After Surah 90 of the Qur'an

The newly initiated Age-Group into Manhood in Auchi Sacred Kingdom has been named after Surah 90 of the Qur'an on Wednesday by His Royal Highness Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom.

This was done during the young men's visitation to the Palace as led by their General Chairman, Prince Ali Aliru H.Momoh, to request that the Monarch names the group in fulfilment of the custom and tradition of the land.

Responding to the request as a father, His Highness asked that those at the front role recite the opening verse of the Qur'an (Suratul Fatiah).

Having been satisfied that the children had met the requirements for attaining the status of Manhood, the Otaru named the Age-Group, Balad (The Sacred City) which is the 90th Chapter of the Qur'an.

The King admonished the Youths on the virtues of being upright as the future of the Kingdom rests on their shoulders and encouraged them to ensure that Truth stands as their watchword always in all ways.

It is interesting to know that HRH, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh is the 90th Child out of the 246 offsprings of His Royal Highness, Idao Oshiogbele D.H Momoh who reigned from 1919 to 1944 as Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom.
