At age 101, Elder Audu AbdulKadir has emerged the oldest citizen of Auchi Sacred Kingdom.
This was made manifest on Sunday during an Otaru in Council (OiC) meeting after a short-lived controversy on the matter of Seniority between him and Elder Osumah Okhai of Igbei Village.
The matter after a series of questions and answers was decided through a miraculous event made manifest through Surah 19, Ayats 20 and 22 of the Glorious Qur'an.
As result of age, both men couldn't remember the name of their Age-Grade but were both certain, each one was older than the other.
To resolve the issue amicably, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom selected numbers from the dates mentioned by both elderly men to arrive at a chapter and verses of the Book of Islam (Q19vs20&22) and after these verses were read, the case was decided in favour of Audu AbdulKadir fondly known as Mai Gesikya.
