Tpl. Abubakar Zakariya Al-Hassan together with Engr. Edith Oyati have emerged winners at the Congress Representative election that was held at Auchi Polytechnic Auditorium on Monday.

The exercise which was keenly contested between six contestants saw A.Z. Al-Hassan racing ahead Engr. Oyati, Dr. Dibua, Dr. Vincent, Dr. Victor and Engr. Aideloje to clinch the win with 269 votes.

Engr. Mrs. Edith Oyati who polled a total number of 256votes joining Hassan Abubakar at the winning stool.

Dr. Vincent Mahmud came third with 126 votes, Dr. Victor Dibua earned 78votes at 4th position, Dr. Victor Aigbefo took 5th with 49 votes while Engr. Victor Aideloje had 32 votes at the bottom of the table.

Congratulatory messages rent the air as the son of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, Daudu of Aimanesi Village, scholar and Academician of Repute scales the race emerging the winner of the day.

Tpl. Abubakar Zakariya Al-Hassan and Engr. Mrs. Edith Oyati by virtue of their emergence as winners at the just concluded exercise will be representing Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) as Congress Members at the Auchi Polytechnic Governing Council.
