“Obaseki failed the promises he made to Edolites”_Razak

Youths and women from the Royal houses of Auchi Sacred Kingdom under the Aegis of Ughidane Assembly were on ground in the City of Benin together with other supporters of the All Progressives Congress from all over the country to Flag Off the Ruling APC’s gubernatorial campaign in Edo’s Capital City on Saturday.

The Flagoff which was held in the University of Benin’s Stadium saw the presence of varying groups drumming unflinching support in favour of the candidacy of Pastor Osaigie Ize-Iyamu as the Flag bearer of the APC and his running mate, Mallam Gani Audu.

Ughidane Assembly made sure to up a show at the scene in solidarity with POI/MGA claiming they are Godsents who have been chosen and given the mandate to drive Edo state forward by consolidating and advancing the developmental strides of the former comrade Governor and National leader of the APC (Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole) which have over the years been abandoned by the incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki who is now the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party in view of the oncoming September 19th polls.

 

Members of the group who were present in Benin described Governor Obaseki as the outgoing Governor of the state and expressed in confidence that come September 19th, he and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Philip Shuaibu will be voted out for the state to move forward and away from a regime of MOUs to a new government of manifest projects.

Addressing Jeremiah Kadiri of AUCHI BLOGspot, chairman of Ughidane Youths, Sir Abdulrazak Aliu urged the public to back their support with the voting powers of their PVCs.

“Ughidane traveled to Benin for the flag off occasion of APC in the forthcoming Governorship election and show solidarity/support towards the candidacy of POI and MGA.

Ughidane Assembly as part of their contribution to the Christian/Muslim ticket have decided to support wholeheartedly in cash and in kind the candidates of APC and to also mobilize voters before and on the day of election for APC.”

 

Responding to why Ughidane Assembly has decided to shoulder the responsibility of raising funds and the necessary resources for the onerous task of mobilizing for POI/GMA, Razak stated,

“As a good student of history I believe only when a child  perform brilliantly can he be promoted to the next class. It is obvious that Obaseki failed the promises he made to Edolites. The PDP he has eventually joined has never done well in Edo state. Edo people are yearning for change and POI has a simple agenda that is flexible and easy to actualize the needed change. On this note, Edo voters have only one choice and that is POI and MGA of the APC.

I therefore urge the public and Ughidane Assembly members to rejoice for a righteous man has come to save Edo state from the unfulfilled promise made by Obaseki. They should know that the brighter future we all hope for is under the Governorship of POI/MGA and this can only come to pass with the use of our PVCs come September 19th, 2020.”

Lending voice to the narrative, the group’s Public Relations Officer, Sir Zekeri Jimah informed AUCHI BLOGspot that APC is the winning party.

“We are confident in POI and MGA because of their competencies and the fact that they are capable under the APC, a party that knows what politics is all about.

Please my brothers and sisters come out and join the struggle because APC is the winning party as Edo is APC and APC is Edo.”

The event was attended by State Governors, Ministers, the 17 Members of EDHA loyal to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, various support  groups, entertainers and more, as the Stadium was filled beyond capacity.

However, public health workers and specialists were on ground to ensure that everyone entering into the University’s premises where checked with a temperature checking machine and offered a medical facemask as well as encouraged to use the mask and a 70% Alcohol-handsanitizer. These was done in view of checking and curtailing the possibility of the transmission of covid-19 pandemic that is currently ravaging the world.
