Group Builds, Launches Traffic Officers’ Structure in Auchi

A group of young people under the aegis of GREAT MINDS have collectively launched a traffic tent for the use of traffic control officers and the general public at Jattu junction in Auchi on Friday.

The structure which is mounted just before the t-junction after BEDC Office along Benin-Okene Expressway was officially opened for use by HRH, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom who was ably represented by Alhaji chief Dirisu Yahya, Ódwévho of Auchi Blog & Services .

The monarch through his Chief prayed for the positive growth of the group, beseeched God to empower them to do more for the various communities in view of making lives better for all and declared the structure officially opened for use.

Speaking to AUCHI BLOG the CEO of Mutti’s Concept (Mutairu) stated that what informed the creation of the tent-like structure was the need to shield Traffic Control Officers of the Police as well as stranded commuters or pedestrians from the scorching sun or from the rain.

Mutti who doubles as the Public Relations officer of Great Minds stated that the facility will offer itself as a shield over lost travelers who would be directed properly by the Traffic offers.
“What we have become today in life is thanks to our living in Auchi. It is only right that we give back to the community that has made us who we are. Aside this project, Great Minds shall be embarking on future projects like donating school blocks to government owned authorities as well as hospitals for the people to benefit from. Nothing is too small nor too big to give to the community as long as the intention is pure.” he said.

On his part, Officer Oyedepo Abdul appreciated the kind gesture and encouraged other progressive groups to take a cue or queue behind Great Minds in order to help contribute to the overall good of society.
“People should begin to see why police officers should be assisted to carry out their duties effectively because the onus to maintain law and order lies with us. When we get encouragements such as the one here, our jobs become easier” he said.

Officer Mike of the Edo State Traffic Management Agency (EDSTMA) applauded the kind gesture and stated that the traffic office is a wonderful contribution from the group. He thanked the people of Auchi for always coming up with initiatives that will advance the course of the community and prayed for members of Great Minds.
