The Rector of Auchi Polytechnic commends the performance of Staff of the School of Evening Studies (SES) and promises to keep encouraging and ensuring that no one is owed salaries.
Dr. Salisu Shehu Umar, Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Auchi made this call during a meeting held by the Dean of SES at the School of Applied Science Lecture Theater on Wednesday.

As the School prepares for her forthcoming 1st semester exams, the rector advised that every teaching staff should as a matter of responsibility ensure that students are well prepared for the oncoming academic exercises by ensuring that they teach and give the necessary resources that will aid the students pull through without any tint of malpractice.

Umar warned that his administration will not tolerate any malpractices as such would lead to stringent disciplinary actions in view of ensuring that he establishes a sane academic atmosphere for all to truly get value for being in Auchi Polytechnic during his reign and beyond.
"you'll bear me witness that your numbers have doubled since I came to this institution. This is to ensure that there's more hands to perform the task of grooming our students properly.
With this in focus, we are also monitoring the said numbers to ensure that you don't cheat." He said.
He warned against illegal fees like gratification, charging for projects, collecting monies without providing books, and all other such illegalities that are detrimental to the image of the institution and to the students for which Auchi Polytechnic is established.
"if it will serve as deterrent to ensure that we keep Auchi Polytechnic sane, we will publish names of criminal elements on National Newspapers to deter others and to save our innocent students who are oftentimes the victims from their clutches. Remember that these students are our children. Let's be decent in handling their affairs as our children." he said.

He stated that he is not unaware of the challenges of the institution and promised to ensure that the Polytechnic gets back to its glory days through logical and passionate cooperation between staff and management.
