Hikmah Schools in Auchi Sacred Kingdom has impressed all with an outstounding outing in the cause of the just concluded 2022 West African Senior Secondary Certification Examination (WASSCE) by recording 100% pass for their over 60 candidates who made all their papers.
The multi-purpose ceremony which was held at the premises of the School at the Government Residential Area (GRA) Auchi on Saturday witnessed a surge in the presence/attendance of families, friends, fans of the pupils, students as well as guests of the institution.
Boasting of sound teachers, decent environment and high moral standards, the management of Hikmah Schools expressed elation over the fact that its consistency in maintaining ethical modus operandi has brought the school to a peak that has now become the envy of others and explained the implications of this for the school through its Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Mallam Tijani Oseni.
"...Alhamdulillah, Hikmah Schools remain the best brand today. This is evident from the continuous enrolment into our schools. Over the past four years, we have experienced a significant increase in school enrolment. This is as a result of increased confidence by parents in the school board and management. This has also put pressure on our facilities leading to continuous expansion as you can see. We have built more classrooms, completed the mosque and just this year we have acquired more land for continuous expansion. This is in addition to building a CBT centre, digital library and a computer laboratory to keep pace with the digital world.
Our children have continued to excel in academics both locally and nationally despite our zero tolerance for examination malpractice. Our team of highly motivated and dedicated staff continue to offer selfless services towards building these children. We on our part have ensured our staff meet national standards through training and retraining. Two of our staff just returned from a staff training workshop in Kano for Arabic and Islamic teachers.
Our Islamiyah has also continued to produce graduates who have memorised the Qur’an to various degrees. This is in addition to their increased proficiency in the Arabic language as well as better knowledge of Islamic sciences, hadith and jurisprudence. As we graduate students from our Islamiyah today, it is our hope that they build on what they have been taught." Mallam Tijani Oseni Said.
The BoT Chairman seized the opportunity to call on all to help the school raise the necessary resources to facilitate its mandate of properly educating the younger generations who are said to be the future of the Nation --Nigeria.
He stated that the school needs a utility bus and would make do with some Personal Computer Systems for greater output while encouraging parents, relatives and well meaning citizens who value the import of good Education to contribute towards getting some of the facilities and equipment he appealed for.
To the surprise of all, one of the side attractions of the event involved a scene where and when pupils of the school did a workshop on stage providing hands-on entrepreneurial training in the production of liquid soap. Live on stage, the pupils carried out a DIY exercise by producing a liquid soap which was packaged and sold to spectators who had become enthused by the know-how of the children and with the excitement of wanting to try out the product.
The import of Entrepreneurship development was reiterated by the MC (Senator) citing that the economic condition of the country has given birth to a need for profitable skills set that will cut cost for the producer and double as lucrative ventures.
He pleaded with parents to ensure that their children are encouraged to take the entrepreneurial development scheme being taking together by the school very seriously as this develops the cognition of the growing child in more ways than one can count.
There was no particular highpoint at the event as every moment was seemingly aesthetic. The ceremony chronicled aspects such as speech presentation, Qur'anic recitation, Hadith rendition, admonitions, dialogue (drama), presentation of awards and recognition of the most impacting staff who were carefully selected by the graduating students with an attachment of some tokens of appreciation. Additionally, the school recognized parents who pay tuition fees in good time despite the current economic imbroglio of the country.
Delivered by Mallam Aliu Monsur, the Paper presentation on "Get Rich Quick Syndrome and it's Adverse Implications" dug deeply into the hearts of listeners who began to see the need to jettison the growing trend of celebrating supposedly rich people whose source of wealth is questionable.
He encouraged the students, young ones at the event and Youths generally to be hardworking, diligent and patient as in patience and in doing legit works lies the love of Allah --the love that makes man truly wealthy in life.
The event was attended by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh who was ably represented by Chief Alhaji H.M, Daudu 1 of Auchi, His Royal Highness, Mallam Ali D. Sulayman, Atoma 1 of Imiegbai (Ogieaga of Ivbie Kingdom) whom doubled as the Chairman of the Event, Chief Imam and Waziri of Auchi, Prof. Z.I. Oseni, Chief Alh. Dirisu Yahya, Odwevho of Auchi together with a host of dignitaries drawn from most spheres of human endeavor.
Founded in 2003, Hikmah Schools is owned by Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Auchi Central Branch and has grown as an academic brand that has paid her dues having etched its name in the marbles of time.
