A trip to the foremost Radio Station at the Auchi Polytechnic community in Etsako West's administrative headquarters (Auchi) on Saturday showed a heightened pace in the quest of ensuring that the medium of mass communication comes back to LIFE.
AUCHI BLOG visited the Engineers on site and while speaking with the newly appointed Station Manager, it was revealed that the station shall come on-air in the nearest future.
Mallam Braimah Jafar a.k.a Lucky Marcus told The Community's Eye that the Rector, Dr. Salisu Shehu Umar since assumption of office has been on the case of the station. This he said brought about his appointment with the mandate of ensuring that the Polytechnic's Radio starts broadcast in the nearest foreseeable future.
"the station is most likely to come on-air by next week by God's Grace because the Rector, Dr. S.S. Umar has provided all the necessary resources for ensuring that we get back to our broadcast ways.
Personally I want to state that this administration of the new rector is very much concerned and what you are seeing is a manifestation of that concern.
Our Engineers are installing all necessary gadgets that will enable broadcast while the Radio staff are warming up for uninterrupted services going forward." The station manager said.
This is the second time Auchi Polytechnic Radio, Hillside 94.1fm is receiving encouraging attention since the tragic incidence that brought down its mast on the 4th of March 2020 after the attempt made by the Late Tpl. Sanusi Momodu Jimah.
