2023: Afenmai Support Group for Peter Obi, Dr. Yusuf Datti Stage Fitness Walk in Auchi

 

Under the aegis of Afenmai Support Group for Peter Obi and Dr. Y.D. Baba-Ahmed together with members of other tribes and socio-cultural groups, some youths and the aged people have staged a fitness walk in solidarity for the Obi-dient movement in Auchi Sacred Kingdom the Etsako West Administrative headquarters on Saturday.

Members who are drawn from all areas of Edo North together with the Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and other ethnic affiliations who reside in Edo North took to the major roads in Auchi to bring to the notice of all --the fact that the Obi-dient movement is live in Edo North in preparation for the oncoming 2023 General elections.

The conveners stated that though actual campaigns are yet to commence, the exercise was to bring to fore the fact that even though it is widely believed that Labour Party has no structure, the Obi-dient movement is not a movement to undermine in the current scheme of things politically in view of the frustration of Nigerians --having tried other political parties who they say, have failed in taking Nigeria to the promise land.

"This is a movement of the masses. Those who are genuinely concerned about the state of the Nation to the extent that they are willing to right the wrong. Everyone you see here today is out to help phase out an era of retrogression and usher in a dawn of hope for the ordinary Nigerian. Everyone should get their PVCs ready so that come 2023, together we shall rescue Nigeria from poverty, insecurity, ASUU strikes and all other vices by voting massively for Peter Obi and Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed." Mr. AbdulAzeez Isah Oshiomole, co-convener of the event said while speaking to AUCHI BLOG .

On his part, Engr. Ibrahim Suleiman appreciated the turnout of people who found the event worthy of attendance and urged all to be Obi-diently Yusfull towards achieving a better Nigeria come 2023.

"Please do well to help our dearly beloved nation come back to life by ensuring that you collect your Permanent Voter Cards in preparation for the task at hand. We are not just here for ourselves, we are here for all Nigerians because the Obi-Datti movement is one for the restoration of our country from the shackles of darkness to a new found light." he said.

They seized the opportunity to encourage the voting public to ensure that they collect their PVCs and participate actively in the electioneering process of the Nation's liberation from what they described as the old and outdated order where things have not worked in favour of the masses to a new order where their principal, Peter Obi will steer the country to a working one.

The procession kicked off from opposite Auchi Polytechnic's Gate at Iyekhei down to A.P. Fueling Station through Sharp Corner and Total, up to Jattu Junction through Olele, UBA and Old NEPA Junction and featured a lot of highpoints like regular addresses/speeches in different languages, hype-sessions and cultural displays by the popular Ibo-Oriented Ogene cultural troupe.

Personnels of the Police, Vigilante, NSCDC, FRSC were on ground to maintain order.
