Miss Afenmai's year 2022 Free Medical Outreach PET project has successfully been conducted at the Otaru Palace in Auchi Sacred Kingdom on Saturday.
Hosted by Amidat Ilegar Austine, the CEO of TOWA Enterprises through Miss Afenmai Beauty Queen of the year _Miss Maye, the event recorded unhindered success as medical personnels were on ground to cater for the needs of those who were trouping into the venue.
The Health concerns of the day was Blood Pressure (BP) and Diabetes.
Mis Maye while addressing the crowd on the causes, symptoms and ways to manage BP pleaded with the people to as much as possible develop healthy living lifestyles that promote wellness.
She stated that although there is no single cause of the silent but deadly ailment, it is important for all to ensure that good hygiene is practiced while reduction in the intake of salt, red meat, tobacco and alcohol is practiced.
Regular checkups were advised because as dangerous as BP may seem, it is often not visibly written on the faces of its victims.
On his part, Dr. Muhammed Awal Bawa while talking about the dreaded diabetes aligned with Maye's admonition stating that certain practices like excess alcohol consumption, sedentary lifestyle, unceasing intake of carbohydrates among others are counterproductive to the wellbeing of humans.
He pleaded that physical activities be engaged in while the lifestyles (mentioned as some of the causes of diabetes) are shunned.
Amidat Ilegar Austine (Mrs.), the convener of the event reiterated the import of regular checkups and encouraged everyone to ensure that checkups are done regularly to know one's health status as this will provide the requisite info for better action.
She called on well to do Indigenes and residents of Auchi to join hands with Miss Afenmai so as to reach out to more people in need of free checkups, consultancy services and free medication.

Miss Afenmai Free Medical Outreach was attended by Alhaji Prince H.M. Momoh (Daudu of Auchi), Chief Nurudeen Oseni (Daudu of Oshiomole Village), Chief Mariam Ezolomhe Kadiri, Prince Muhammed Okhumeode Hassan Kadiri, Prince Fawaz Muhammad, Princess Odion Momoh and more.
Rotary Club of Auchi Central was visibly present in support of Miss Afenmai's PET Project as the President, Hajia Mariam Ezolomhe Kadiri lauded the team's humanitarian services towards making life better for mankind to the Glory of God.
She congratulated Rotrn. Amidat Ilegar who is a member of the Rotary Club of Auchi Central for the job well done and ceased the opportunity to encourage members of the public to join Rotary Club of Auchi Central as the club is a hub of humanitarian ideas.
