Otsudo Day: Family Holds Year 2022 Prayers, Award Scholarship to 2 Beneficiaries

The Otsudo Family of Utsogun Heritage Zone in Auchi Sacred Kingdom have hosted her year 2022 prayer session and family Reunion programme on Tuesday the 2nd day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Held at the family house of the Otudos beside Uchi Primary School, Warrake Road Auchi, the event saw the presence of the family's sons and daughters drawn from all parts of the world in view of celebrating Allah the Most High for the continuous unity, peace and prosperity being enjoyed by the Otudo Family in particular and Auchi in general.

In his opening remarks, the Youth Chairman, Chief Tijani stated that although it's been a while the family came together in a collective event, now that they have started again, the event shall become an annual meeting where all sons and daughters of Otsudo shall continue to pray and merry together.

While speaking with AUCHI BLOG AND AUCHI BLOG & SERVICES , the Surveyor (Tijani) stated that Otsudo Family is a family from which many families branched out during the formative days of Auchi. He said that as Kingmakers, they seek to use the event which shall henceforth be held annually to teach the coming generation the import of Otsudo and his children to the very roots of the cosmopolitan town of Auchi.

Prince Shaka, Oldest man of the family prayed that with the resumption of the activity of collective planning and execution of family reunion by the Otsudos, family members at home and in the Diaspora shall witness and continue to record progress, promotion (in work places) and peace in their lives. He urged members to be deliberate in seeking the cohesion of the family and shun any divisive tendencies that could truncate the family's glory and thereafter led the opening dance to the rhythm of indigenous tunes.

High point of the occasion was the awarding of scholarships to young deserving members of the family. The beneficiaries, Miss Umaru Rahimat and Mr Usman Abdulsamad were given scholarships courtesy of Otsudo Youth Forum in view of encouraging the younger generation of the family to brace up to the academic needs of the family.

The Descendants of Otsudo had a swell time merrying together under a clement weather.
