The Otaru-in-Council (OiC) has on Sunday decorated late Engr. Momoh of the popular Engr. Momoh street in Utsokwili village (Iyekhei Heritage zone) with the posthumous title of a 'Community Hero.'

His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom together with the Daudus, Yamahs and Tomos of Auchi Community honored the fallen hero for his gallantry and dedication to collective peace and community security.

To cater for the education and essential needs of wife and children of the deceased, the OiC pledged the sum of #200,000 to be presented to the family and earmarked his 6 children for scholarship under the Auchi Welfare Committee and Auchi Community Charitable Fund Initiative .

Muhammed Aruna a.k.a Engr. Momoh was a devoted member of the Auchi Vigilante Squad, Iyekhei Zone, who was murdered by armed robbers on Wednesday, night of the 6th of April _very close to his residence in a bid to arrest the assailants.
