While the gory accident from Wednesday is still fresh in our minds, it is noteworthy to say that whatever loss we incurred as a result of that accident is now in the past _it is now simply a memory, a painful one that now lies in the graves of yesterday.
However, herein these pics show another imminent doom waiting to happen. Here's a gloom dangling over our heads. Another round of woes hovering around like mad bees waiting to wreck havoc.
The Community's Eye took a stroll on Saturday evening on Kessington Momoh road and behold, even though the area just recently got some form of rejuvenation, the drainages are filled to the brim with all manner of matter.
Dirt, rot and what-have-you lay on each other like piles of varying sendiments. Where there is no freshly poured used diapers, pure water nylons and other disposables, there's heap of sands that have been held up to the level of asphalt on the road.
In all these lies so much degradation, so much decay and so much pain waiting patiently for the time when the heavens will flood earth with her tears. When that happens, what becomes of those of us in these areas?
Here's Enaholo J.K. calling on the Auchi Environmental Sanitation Committee under the leadership of the Bilal of our Sacred Kingdom, Chief Tijani to as a matter of urgency do all within the committee's power in collaboration with community stakeholders and the Etsako West Local Government Council Department of Health to clear all the drainages in Auchi and moreso, put strict measures in place to deter people from pouring/dumping refuse in water channels.
