The current Ag. Rector of Auchi Polytechnic has been recognized and decorated with an award of Educational and Vocational Excellence on Wednesday by a group of his secondary school mates.
This event was made manifest when members of Our Lady Of Fatima Old Boys Association (OLOFOBA) paid a courtesy visit to Tpl. A.Z. Al-Hasan, Ag. Rector of Auchi Polytechnic on Wednesday at the Conference Hall, Rectory Building, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi.
The group led by Chief Rahim Momoh, current chairman of OLOFOBA (Home Branch) informed the Administrator that the recognition was in view of his outstanding character and contribution towards improving education in the institution and developing capacity for staff and students as well as his ability to place square pegs in square holes for onward developmental strides.
They thanked the Ag. Rector for recognizing and having competent members of OLOFOBA who are staff of the institution play key roles in the Polytechnic _pointing out the various units, departments and strategic areas OLOFOBAins occupy and the successes recorded as a result of their contribution to uplifting Auchi Polytechnic.
Tpl. Abubakar Zakariya Al-Hasan, Ag. Rector of Auchi Polytechnic who doubles as the Daudu (Village Head) of Aimanesi Village expressed his elation and gratitude. He appreciated the kind gesture and prayed for the onward progress of the association.
"For recognizing me in this capacity, I pray that God continues to guide the activities of this association and reward your efforts with success.

Addressing AUCHI BLOG in the aftermath of the event, Rtn. Yekini Sadoh, the immediate past president of OLOFOBA Home Branch stated that the recognition was in view of encouraging Al-Hasan who happens to be an Alumnus of Our Lady of Fatima College improve in service delivery. He reiterated the need to seek out members of the association who are in key positions all over the world in view of giving them a path in the back to do better.
