Led by Mr. Umoru Sedik, activities marking the end of 2021 and the welcoming of 2022 have commenced and have been completed successfully in Auchi the Headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo state.
The stream of activities lined up kicked off with an endurance trek that started from Ikelebe Sports Arena (Public Field) through Auchi Metro back to the field on Thursday the 30th of December, 2021.
A ceremonial football match followed on Sunday the 2nd of January 2022 at Aibotse Field where team white won the day against team black by a lone goal after which a dinner party was held at GNL behind BEDC Business Office Auchi
The football match was a worthwhile event that brought to bare the footballing prowess of the ex footballers who were drawn from all over Afenmai land.
Although they may have retired from active and competitive football, it was on display at the pitch that the aging men still had what it takes to tap, maneuver and manipulate the legendary round leather.
