S.O.M.E Doles Out Bags of Rice, Other Items to the Less Privileged in Auchi

Auchi Daughters in the United States of America under the Aegis of S.O.M.E National Food Bank Initiative in collaboration with Auchi Community Charitable Fund Initiative have distributed not less than 120 bags of rice together with other essential food items to the needy in Auchi Sacred Kingdom.

This exercise took place on Thursday at the Royal Palace where the Aged, Poor Widows, Persons with Special Needs and other disadvantaged persons in the community converged as beneficiaries of the S.O.M.E scheme.

Items distributed by the SO OTHERS MAY EAT NATIONAL FOOD BANK INITIATIVE through the Auchi Community Charitable Fund Initiative include 25kg Bags of rice, 3litres of groundnut oil, packs of tomatoes paste, packets of salt, spices and iced chickens.

120 beneficiaries got packages of 1bag of rice, one chicken, a pack of tomatoes paste, 3packets of salt, one 3litres of oil and 1packet of Spices per person.

This is coming 5months after the first set of food items where distributed in July before the Big Sallah festivities _where about a hundred persons benefited. The second batch of items distributed on Thursday recorded an addition of 20more persons.

The S.O.M.E National Food Bank Initiative is proudly sponsored by Descendants of Kende D.H. Momoh and is coordinated by Hajia Fatima Dankano and other Auchi Daughters in the United States of America through the AUCHI COMMUNITY CHARITABLE FUND INITIATIVE.

Auchi Community Charitable Fund Initiative is a non governmental organization (NGO) that networks good hearted Auchi Sons and Daughters both at home and in the Diaspora with the aim of getting requisite help for the poor, needy and less privileged in the society.

Chaired by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Ikelebe III, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, the charitable initiative is open for partnerships and sponsorships in view of reaching out and touching lives positively to the Glory of God and for the benefit of mankind.

We are currently building a pool of funds to facilitate our objectives and any contribution towards driving this project to fruition will be greatly appreciated.
