Auchi Polytechnic's SUG, SRC, Honor Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Present Plan for a Council Hall Building

Representatives and Executives of Auchi Polytechnic's Student Union Government (SUG) together with Students Representative Council as well as Senate Representative Council have in unison honored an alumnus and former SUG president, Rev. Fidelis Ayemoba.

Rev. Fidelis is a serving senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Lagos branch who is known for consistent contribution to the development of his alma mater.


Addressing all in the cause of the event, Senate President of the SUG, Mr. Nwakwo Chukwudi Joseph described the senior pastor as one who has genuine concern for the institution to the point that no matter where he is, he always remembers where he comes from.

He thanked the Reverend for his contribution to the growth of the Federal Polytechnic and encouraged him to do more.

Mr. Justice Idiaghe, Dean of Students Affairs decorated the Pastor with an award and a medal as a 5 Star General of Academics and Philanthropy on behalf of the Polytechnic.

The Dean urged the Student Union Body to always recognize and honor those who are helping to grow the Citadel of Learning and Stressed that in so doing, they will continue to do more.

The Senate President, Mr. Nwakwo ceased the opportunity to present a plan for the building of a Council Hall for the Senate Representative Council in view of garnering the requisite resources and support while the Pastor magnanimously promised to contribute his quota to achieving the set goal to the Glory of God and for the Benefit of Mankind.

In appreciation of his recognition, Rev. Fidelis Ayemoba thanked the representatives and urged other well meaning alumni of the institution to drive home developmental milestones that will help place the institution on an enviable height among its peers while appealing to Representatives of the various represented Student Union Bodies to be upright in all they do.

The event also served as a forum for discouraging vices and encouraging virtues as a way of building a good image for students and staff of the Auchi Polytechnic in particular and Nigeria in general.
