Contrary to the claim that it was the first wife who bathed her co wife in the wake of the incidence that happened on Tuesday at Igbira Camp-Auchi, Aisha the accused has informed AUCHI BLOG that even though there was a quarrel between her and her co wife, the latter was the one who took the hot pan of oil in the first place when trouble began.
She narrated her side _stating that her co wife splashed water at her that morning when both were in the kitchen preparing dishes. When she confronted the younger wife and stated that she was going to report the incidence to their husband, the woman threatened that she had no case as no matter what she says, their husband will not believe Aisha being that the younger wife (by name Aliya) is the man's favourite.
Aisha stated that she actually went out of the kitchen to call her husband in view of the matter to register her pains but later came back to the kitchen to continue frying the plantain she was preparing when the issue stated.
"I took the initiative to again speak to her on the matter and told her never to repeat such act again when she pulled the hot pan with oil in it.
In an attempt to hurt me with it, she slipped and fell as the content of the pan spilled on her.
My only regret now is that I took the pan and spill the remains on her back" Aisha said.
Debunking the claim, a neighbor who does not wish to be mentioned stated that Aisha is and has always been a troublesome person. He stated that this is not the first time she is constituting problem in the family.
"...Since the new wife came in, there has been some family issues that has been managed within the family but today it escalated to the point where the first wife poured bleached palm oil on the second wife and her whole body was swollen." He said.
It is reported that Aisha has been arrested by her Husband who arrived Auchi yesterday in view of what happened in his house.
Aliya is still at Amazing Grace Hospital and is responding to treatment as at Thursday Morning when AUCHI BLOG visited.

ReplyDeleteTo me, even the man has a case to answer.
Why did he not seperate the women,at least when he observed that they were not ready to live in peace together?
And why is he not man enough to control his wives especially as the issue was brought to his notice before the ugly situations that followed thereafter?
If you can not control two wives as a man,then stay away from polygamy.
I hate nonsense!
