Just In: Vehicle loses Tyre in High Speed, Crashes into Road Divider at Angle 90 in Auchi

A Lexus vehicle has crashed into a road divider at Angle 90 by Afenmai Line on Saturday Evening.

The vehicle was said to be on high speed heading towards the Benin direction of the expressway when a tyre gave way and forced it to ram into a slab used for road demarcation on the road just opposite Afenmai Line.

Though no life was lost on account of this development, witnesses expressed fears stating that a Luxury vehicle had similar accident on the same spot some months back and that it was by God's Grace that there were no casualties owing to the presence of a Motor park by the junction.

Rotn. Sadoh Yekini, a lecturer at Auchi Polytechnic and  resident of Igbei in view of the occurrence called on relevant authorities to swing into action to proactively ensure that lives are not lost in the future as a result of accidents on the road.

"...my pain is that that JUNCTION is not conducive for a MOTOR PARK. A Luxury bus did same some months ago.
The community and all relevant agencies should stop pretending and address the issue objectively.
Danger is not far in sight." He said.
