Iyekhei Sports Fest: Team Ögé Makes it to Final

Representatives of Ögé family in the ongoing sporting events hosted at Iyekhei by Iyekhei Sons and Daughters Forum in Europe have made it to the finals in a keenly competitive match at Ekhei Primary School on Saturday.

Victory came hard but deserving for the Yellow boys who could not find the back of the net after 90minutes of play owing to the fact that their opponents _the Green giants of Aimeonikhare are not a pushover side.

They both ended in a goalless draw and with equal amounts of Yellow cards (2each) and decided to settle for a penalty shootout to decide the final result.

Let's quickly take a look at how well both teams fared from the beginning of the competition up till they got tangled in today's fixtures.

At the dawn of this year's edition of the Sports Festival, team Ögé took down Osigwe in the opening match by a lone goal while Aimeonikhare started on a good footing with a 2goals to 1 win over Oluögba on match day 02. Next day (Day 03), Team Ögé trashed Emoedumeh by 3goals to nothing as Aimeonikhare fell to a 2:1 defeat in the hands of Etesemeh on match day 06.

With today's victory, team Ögé are going to be slogging it out with winners of match day 08 (Sunday) _a match between Etesemeh and Osigwe.
