Auchi Hunters Honor Prince Sadiq Ikharo

Members of Auchi Hunters Association have on Saturday Honored Prince Sadiq Ikharo in Auchi.

Led by Chief Umar Abdulkadir, Chairman of the Hunters Squad in Auchi, a courtesy visit was paid to Prince Sadiq's residence where the group in a bid to appreciate the Prince's contribution to community development presented him a plaque _an Award as AMBASSADOR OF PEACE & SECURITY DEVELOPMENT.

Chief Umar thanked Dr. Sadiq for being one of the very few who have taken up the challenge of encouraging the body of local hunters who together with the Kingdom's local vigilante squad been saddled with the onerous task of securing lives and properties in the area.

He said that Sadiq's contribution to aiding the job of securing lives in the area cannot be undermined in a time when security has become a course for concern in the country.

"you have always ensured that no matter how far away you are from home, you reach out to us with resources and advice and this has contributed in no small measure to the security our people enjoy," he said.

Responding to the recognition and award presented to him by the hunters, Dr. Sadiq thanked the association and reaffirmed his support for their operations as long as they were doing all within their efforts at ensuring safety for the Auchi people in collaboration with their local sister squad _the Vigilante.

He stated that it is the responsibility of every Auchi Son and Daughter to ensure that home is safe as security is everybody's business.

The Prince called on both Hunters and Vigilante to be committed and work diligently without giving up even though the job is taxing as their reward is with Allah who never fails to elevate those who are helping people to live a life of safety in peace.

Dr. Sadiq on behalf of AUCHI DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION (ADF) and AUCHI ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA thanked the Hunters and assured them that both bodies wherein he is a stakeholder will help in making their jobs easier for the benefit of Auchi residents.

He enquired about the status of the operational equipments (especially about their patrol vehicles) and pledged support to help revive 2 patrol vehicles of Auchi Vigilante Squads and help with the purchase of a new operational vehicle for the hunters.
