HRH, Alhaji Aliru H. Momoh, Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom has tasked Youths to not pursue wealth in view of getting rich so Others can see.
He made this known on Saturday during a meeting with Youths from all the Villages of Auchi who are soon to be initiated and admitted into manhood at the Royal Palace.
Whilst he called on them to explore their God given talents through the purposeful use of their hands and brains to create wealth for themselves and the society, he enjoined them to further build capacity in an ever changing world where knowledge rules.
"Don't look for wealth, create wealth from hard work" he said.
The Noble Monarch explained that the pursuit of wealth rather than the creation of it through hard work is what has ushered in the vices of Fraud, Corruption, Stealing, Cheating, Armed Robbery, Banditry, Kidnapping and the likes that have caused the nation more pain in recent times.
He also seized the opportunity to communicate the need for education if the society must make positive progress in the scheme of things. His Highness told all that in view of the importance of Education, a Scholarship Scheme is in place to ensure that those who have had Bsc(s) and HND(s) can further do their masters to better position them for greater opportunities.
"I don't like seeing Youths sitting idle after having their First degree. Discover what you can do, start small and come and apply for a master's scholarship here so that you will be assisted to study further in view of getting a good job or improve on your businesses," He said.
