The child was named Aalim, a name associated with the virtue and feature of scholarship.
Speaking on his choice of name for the child, Dr. Salim noted emphatically that he wants his son to grow into a scholar of Islamic and Western Knowledge to the Glory of Allah and for the benefit of Mankind.

He appreciated all who graced the occasion despite their tight schedules and the rainy atmospheric condition of the day. Furthermore, he expressed elation in the turnout of the weather as it signaled a dawn of blessings upon his son and the family at large.
