The Imam II of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, Alhaji Suleiman Momoh has revealed that Her Royal Highness, Hajia Nefisat Aliru Momoh has in no small measure contributed to the Islamic development of the Otaru.
He made this known during an event organized by Edo North Muslims and Council of Ulama at Igbira Camp on Sunday.
The Islamic Scholar who doubles as a NAHCON Commissioner while reading the citation of Hajia Nefisat (wife of the Otaru) informed all and sundry that the Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, HRH A.H. Momoh, Ikelebe III owes most of his scholarly features to the woman who was being conferred upon the prestigious Islamic title of 'Amiratul Islam.'
The title which means 'a female leader of Islam' in Arabic was conferred on the Queen by the Edo North Council of Ulama as a result of her countless contributions to the spread and development of Islam in Edo North and Beyond.
Hitherto the event, the Akoko-Edo Muslim Communities conferred on Her Royal Highness a title of 'Muslihatudeen of Akoko-Edo Muslim Ummah'.
Other Awardees in the cause of the event included; Alhaji Sheikh Mukhtar, Alhaji Abuna, Alhaji Shehu Bashiru, Alhaji Muhammed Oyarekhua, Sheikh Barr. Abdullahi Igbeide, Hajia Nana Fatimah Garuba, Hajia Zainab Adamu (Mama Etsako), Hajia Mariam Momoh, Hajia Abudu Aishat, Hajia Hajara Braimah, Hajia Idris Khadijat among others.
Presenting the Certificate of Award to Her Royal Highness was Dr. Ahmad Abdulateef, Provost of the Islamic Institute of Egypt.
The event saw the presence of the Acting Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Engr. Mustapha Zubair, the Galadimma of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, Dr. Mustafa Lecky, Hajia Mairo and a host of dignitaries drawn from all spheres of life.
