Chief Yakubu O. Musa has celebrated his 60th birthday with kids at Itsoghena Orphanage Home on Tuesday.

The former Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Area who clocked 60 yesterday decided to mark the special occasion with the less privileged in appreciation of the fact that Allah has kept him in good health.

The Rotarian and son of Auchi Sacred Kingdom who is popular for his philanthropy, magnanimity and prowess in politics revealed that visiting the orphanage is a tradition that has been unbroken since 2007. This he stated while speaking with AUCHI BLOG during the presentation of items to the kids.

Present at the event was the Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Area, Hon. Alh. Aremiyau Momoh and his wife, Hon. Romeo, Sir. Sadoh Yekini as well as the family of Hon. Yakson together with friends and well wishers who were drawn to the orphanage by the celebrant to see the kids and their environment in view of creating more exposure for the facility so that more hands can give to better the lot of the motherless children and their caregivers.

Today is my 60th birthday and you all know me very well because every year I come here with my friends to celebrate with the kids.

This year I’m here with my friends again to contribute my quota towards having the children provided for. I can only hope and pray that other persons can do same for the less privileged so that we can have a better society for the benefit of all.

…attaining 60 is very special for me and I appreciate God Almighty Who has brought me this far and has enabled me to take on this task.

…I also came with the Chairman of Etsako East to see this place so that this place can gain more exposure to good people who may be willing to help.” Said Hon. Yakson

Alhaji Momoh, EELGA Chairman wished the celebrant a happy Birthday while speaking with Enaholo J.K. and revealed that it’s interesting to know that there are people who have given their lives to ensure that the welfare of motherless kids are attended to. He encouraged the caregivers to continue the good work and advised all and sundry to key into charitable acts that will ensure a continued sustenance of the children who have no other place to turn to for help.

Speaking on the occasion, Sir Sadoh Yekini a brother and childhood friend of the former chairman stated that it has always been in the spirit of Rotarians to give in order to put smiles on faces.

I’ve always been in the business of networking to ensure that ideas are drawn up into charity programmes, then connect those with the capacities to drive the programmes to ensure that projects are actualized for the benefit of the less privilege.

At different times we’ve been able to come up with different projects here at the Itsoghena Orphanage through well meaning people. An example is this Borehole Water project you are seeing.

What Chairman Yakson is doing here today is a confirmation of what we do in Rotary and I wish him more of Allah’s Rahmah and pray that the rewards accruable to acts like these are given to him.” He added.

Hajia Charity Musa Yakubu, wife of the celebrant who was obviously elated at the expression of joy from the kids stated that her husband has always been one who cares about the needs of others. She prayed for more happy years in good health and prosperity for her husband and the entire family. She also appealed that more well meaning people should take a queue from her husband, Yakson, so that more hands can be on deck to better the lives of motherless children.

The outing was streamed LIVE on AUCHI BLOGspot via www.facebook.com/itsemha where Sir US Ikelebe amongst others in Diaspora wished the Uloko of Auchi Sacred Kingdom well in all endeavors as he attains the Golden age _60.

 Happy Birthday Hon. Yakson!
