Prince Abdulrahman Momoh of Auchi Sacred Kingdom has visited Itsoghena Orphanage with friends in view of celebrating the New year with the motherless.
The Lafter Department entertainer popularly known as MC Akpus stepped into 2021 from 2020 with the intent of putting up his first show at the orphanage to not only put food and money on the tables of kids but more so, entertain all that are resident in the facility _the Orphanage.
He brought with him friends, fans and co-entertainers despite the fact that their line of duty was in high demand over the weekend.
Essentials like food, books, clothings and monies were presented to the children with the hope of adding to their stock as the new year breaks.
It was gathered that MC Akpus had called on his fellow entertainers and fans to help raise resources with which to put up a show where motherless kids at the orphanage would be entertained, fed and gifted essential items. Within a period of 3days the MC together with his cohorts had raised a lot of resources from private individuals, businesses and supporters enough to embark on the journey.
Mr. Momoh Usman a lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic Auchi who was there informed AUCHI BLOG that he was impressed by the idea of putting up a show at the orphanage as born by MC Akpus.
“It’s a new year and a lot is expected to roll-in in positivity. This is a year of recovery and prosperity and we pray that all that we’ve lost in the past year will be regained in the new.
I’m happy to be here. It’s my second home because I come here with friends often in the spirit of giving to the less privileged. What MC Akpus is doing here today is a welcomed development and I pray he gets the reward for it. All those who have contributed to ensuring the fruition of this event shall be rewarded accordingly for their good works.” He said.
Mr. Iloya Matthew the CEO of Mattos Studios was also at the event where he encouraged the kids never to give up by telling them a success story of how he began from a poor background.

“I come from a very poor home where I had to carve a niche for myself in order to break out of poverty. My parents weren’t rich and couldn’t afford providing the needs of their kids and this prompted me to start up early in life by taking on jobs that people are not proud to do these days. I didn’t care about whether I’d be laughed at for hawking or whatsoever and soon I was able to get a grinding engine and from there my journey as an entrepreneur began. ” he added that the kids must set their minds to achieving certain goals that will not only profit them but be of benefit to the society because that way they’ll be able to become better people whose names will be heard the world over.
MC Akpus appreciated all for the massive outing stating that he never anticipated that the event would garner such reach. He thereon stated that given the success of the event as a result of the turn-up he would consider making it a yearly activity to host the kids to a funfair so that the children would feel carried along always.
MCs, DJs, Bloggers, Comedians, Academics, Entrepreneurs graced the event with elation pairing themselves with an orphan or two as the event featured activities such as story telling, dancing competition between the kids, presentation of gifts and donations towards improving on the facility.
