No fewer than 2 persons have lost their lives in the early hours of Monday at Warrake as a result of a fierce battle between rival cult members.

AUCHI BLOGspot learnt that trouble started as a result of a case of improper distribution of monies shared in the course of Saturday's polls between the Àye and Éyé confraternities who were both working for the PDP at the time according to eyewitness account but this has been debunked by the Chief Press Secretary to Hon. Andy Osigwe, Chairman of Etsako East Local Government and PDP Chieftain in the area.

In his statement, the CPS, Mr. Ifijen Macaulay while debunking the PDP’s involvement in the ensuing fracas stated that the public should jettison such baseless and unfounded accusation as such does the people more harm than good.

from the information I have from Warrake, it is not party affiliated but cult isues crisis” He said.

Our source revealed that the squabble began in the morning when a group of Éyé boys led by 'Man-Can-Fly' stormed the Rice Mill of an Àye member identified as Sanusi. Thereon a confrontation ensued that led to the neck stabbing of Sanusi who quickly shot at Man-Can-Fly in defence. Both however didn't survive the wounds sustained.

This occurrence led to scampering away of marketers from the market as commercial activities have been abruptly brought to a rude halt in the area on a day when people across the length and breadth of Edo North were supposed to have peacefully engaged in the business of commerce.
