Azomode Age Group Offers Prayers For The Upliftment of Auchi Sacred Kingdom

Members of Azomode Age Group from the Utsogun zone have held their year 2020 prayers along sides their counterparts in Auchi Sacred kingdom in anticipation of a prosperous year in view and in appreciation of the good works of Allah in their lives and that of the people of Auchi in the last 10 years.

The Age group whose Manhood Ceremony held sway in the 2009 have since then done prayers every January 1st to place in the hands of God the affairs of their members in view of the fact that He will better the lot of the group and by extension that of the people of Auchi.

This year’s prayer was held in the newly completed Mosque project situated in Oluedide village and was carried out and completed in the out gone year 2019 by age mates of the Azomode Group as their 10th year anniversary project aimed at giving back to the society.

Speaking on the corporate social responsibility programme of Azomode, Mr. Hafiz Abdulmalik who hails from Utsogun and is the Vice Chairman of Azomode, members of Azomode in the five zones of Auchi Sacred Kingdom have taken it upon themselves to erect projects that will benefit the people of the Kingdom after some certain years of being. This is evident in the various projects scattered per zone.

“As sons of Auchi, we a saddled with the responsibility of helping to provide some needs that will better the lot of our people. You can see that last year we did some projects like the erection of worship centers in Oluedide Village (Utsogun zone), even Iyekhei had to build another one in their zone while Akpekpe sank a borehole apposite Aibotse junction and so on. All these we decided to do because it’s been 10 years since we became men according to the customs of the land.” He said.

He stated that the yearly prayers have really paid off from his observation of how Allah has elevated a lot of the Azomodes in work places, family lives, business and more, stressing that prayers have a way of connecting God’s grace upon a people when they come together to honor Him in unity, love and mutuality.

“I am very happy that even as young as we were in 2009, we made it an important point to always come up with yearly prayers. This is one of the factors that have lifted us as a group. A lot of our members, though young, are doing well and competently at their various places of work. Those that have gone into politics and even running personal businesses are soaring. There was a this time we had an embarrassing member who was always getting into troubles of theft and many other vices. Then you’d hear that he has been arrested today and the next day held and beaten by the Vigilante. All these couldn’t stop him from constituting nuisance but when Azomode organized prayers for him, he stopped and has been doing well for himself. Today his family are both grateful for our intervention and proud of him. One cannot underestimate the power of prayers you know.” he added.

Hafiz further informed jeyKAD that though it wasn’t easy to pull through with the Utsogun zone’s project of building a Masjid, he has so far enjoyed to a large extent, support and cooperation from members. He stated that he sees Azomode attaining greater heights in another 10years and affirmed that the Age Group will continue to give their little to make the difference and bring about the positive change needed to make the society succeed.

The VC has also advised the younger generation to imbibe the virtues of Patience, Devotion to duty, Honesty and most importantly the fear of God as these will in no small measure enable them to scale through huddles and propel them into success in life.

Special prayers were also offered for the progress of Auchi Sacred Kingdom as the group asked Allah for his grace upon the Otaru and the wisdom to keep taking Auchi higher. The group has also wished the people of Auchi a happy Auchi Day celebration in advance and hoped that this year’s edition records resounding achievements.
