Auchi Sacred Kingdom who passed on in the late hours of Sunday the 12th of
January 2020 has been held in his residence in Auchi on Wednesday.
The
event saw the presence of the who-is-who in the scheme of things in and around
the cosmopolitan town of Auchi despite the celebration of the National Armed
Forces Day and the marking of 50years after the civil war in Nigeria. Prayers were
said for the acceptance of his soul by Allah in view of his many achievements
in the area of philanthropy and services to humanity.
Prominent amongst the attendees were the Otaru of
Auchi, Ex Etsako West LG Boss, Alhaji Yakson, Alhaji Abubakar Akokhia the Etsako
west APC chairman, Prince Suleman Momoh (NAHCOM) and a host of traditional rulers, Daudus, Imams, those in
the field of Academics, finance, Commerce and Industry, and so on.
“The candle light has gone off. Auchi Sacred
kingdom has lost a great son Chief Otunba Sufuyanu Usman Mogaji (CHALTON) the Samari
of Auchi Sacred Kingdom. Until his death he was a business man, community
developer with strong passion for humanitarian activities…we love you but Allah
loves you best. Rest on till the day of resurrection.” Said his Nephew Mr.
Yekini Sadoh of the Federal Polytechnic Auchi on his facebook timeline.
Sadoh
also stated that the good deeds of the late chief and son of the Igbei community
of Auchi had earned him the honor of the Otaru who ordered that his corpse be
brought to the Palace for final rites. A gesture which was justified by the
multitude of people who were at the scene to offer the Janaza (Muslim Prayer
for the dead before burial) and to take to his final resting place, Chief
Charlton.
“What a honor… The positive testimonies by
persons on how you touched their lives in one way or the other are surely going
to count for you on the day of resurrection. Adieu my great uncle. The multitude
of persons in your funeral is a testimony of lots of things” he said.
