Staff of Etsako West Local Government Council have expressed gratitude to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Imonofi Inusa for paying salaries earlier than anticipated.
The Council boss was said to have paid workers their December 2019 remunerations at a time when none expected to see their alerts. Those who were seen singing joyful songs of the situation which to them is unprecedented stated that salaries had started hitting workers accounts from Tuesday 17th.
“I was surprised and then overtaken with joy as I looked into my phone having heard the buzzing sound of my message tone. Behold, it was my December salary paid to my account on the 17th of December. I honestly can’t remember when last I got this kind of gift but I’ll will say kudos to the Chairman Alhaji Imonofi Inusa for making sure we are able to get prepared for the yuletide in time by paying our salaries earlier than expected” said an elated council work who could not hide her joy.
Speaking on the issue the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Yusuf Nurudeen stated that the development is in line with the Chairman's commitment to the welfare of workers and in conjunction with the State Government's good initiative to enable workers make better preparations for Christmas and new year celebration.
